We Will Not Forget

We come together today to reflect upon the effects that intimate partner violence have in our lives and our communities, and to unite for the right to safety, justice and peace for all women, domestic violence survivors and their children.

In 1995, Phoebe Dizon, Veronica Laureta, Susana Remerta Blackwell, and Susana's unborn daughter were murdered inside of King County Courthouse at the hands of Susana's husband. We have not forgotten them or other families who have experienced the pain, loss, physical and psychological wounds of domestic violence.

"It's easy for me to be angry. But what I've learned these past 13 years that it must inspire action." -Philbert Dizon.
